Having heard great things about L’Albufera, the Spanish restaurant located in the Meliá White House Hotel I was keen to try it. I recently did just that and am happy to say it lives up to its reputation.

The restaurant is on the ground floor of the 4 star deluxe hotel. Stepping inside feels like you are stepping back in time to the glamorous 60s, from the staff uniforms to the drink trolley, and the way the waiters pull your chair out every time you leave and return to the table. This level of service makes you feel like the only guest in the restaurant even when it’s full. There is a good selection of wines on offer with something for all budgets. I sampled the Gran Vina Sol which was a Spanish Chardonnay with oak tones.
